Cycling Without Age seeks volunteers

Cycling Without Age (CWA) York Region has teamed up with Markham Cycles to offer a training program for volunteer trishaw bike operators – also known as ‘pilots’ – in Markham in late July and August.

CWA York Region is the local chapter of a global movement to help seniors experience the joy of cycling, while reducing social isolation and increasing both mental and physical health. Each electric pedal-assisted trishaw can carry up to two passengers.

CWA York Region needs to fill several volunteer roles, including buddies to escort the trishaw bike, service coordinators, legal advisors, bookkeepers, accountants, and marketing and social media experts. All ages are welcome. If you’re interested in taking part, email CWA York Region or complete this form.
