Markham Indy gets off to a roaring start

Indy fans got their money’s worth Saturday with some great racing action in Markham.

The racing was spectacular. The thrill of the cars flying by at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

Alex Palou, four-time IndyCar Series champion, led the way during the Saturday morning practice. Finishing with the fastest lap, clocking in at one minute and 14.9915 seconds.

Things took a bad turn for the series point leader, when he crashed in the qualifying session.

Louis Foster ranked number one for the qualifying Firestone Fast 6 session; best lap time was clocked in at one minute and 13.2383 seconds with a top speed of 103.225 miles per hour.

Markham’s big race is set for August 16 at 12:22 p.m.
