YRP striding towards Race for Plunkett fundraising goal

The York Regional Police (YRP) are holding their annual Riverwalk Commons Race for Plunkett. The run/walk supports Special Olympics Ontario and pays special tribute to fallen officer Detective Constable Rob Plunkett. The event is either a 5-kilometre walk/run route or a 10-kilometre route for runners only.

The race is happening on August 5th at the Riverwalk Commons – 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket. The registration fee for each individual is $45 and includes a T-shirt and a chipped bib that tracks your race time.

The YRP are holding a fundraising goal of $30,000 this year, closing in with nearly $25,000 a week out from the event.
