Markham Ribfest X fires up the grill at Markham Fairgrounds
Barbecue lovers can get ready for a smoky, flavour-packed weekend as Markham Ribfest X returns to the Markham Fairgrounds from May 29 to 31.
The popular festival will bring together some of North America’s top rib teams, including award-winning pitmasters from Camp 31 BBQ, Sticky Fingers BBQ, Billy Bone’s BBQ, Boss Hogs BBQ, and Big Texas BBQ. Visitors can enjoy a variety of barbecue favourites, including smoked ribs, tender pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken, beef “Dino” ribs, and smoked sausage.
Beyond the barbecue, festival-goers can enjoy a wide range of classic fair foods such as poutine, corn dogs, roasted corn, and funnel cakes. The event will also feature entertainment and activities for all ages, including a midway, carnival games, face painting, a kids’ zone, and a marketplace. Live entertainment will take place throughout the weekend, featuring local bands, tribute acts, and music by DJ Sogrates.
“Markham Ribfest X presented by Gelateria Italiana brings the community together by creating a platform where local businesses, sponsors, and charities connect with thousands of attendees. With over 13,000 people attending last year, it’s a proven driver of community engagement, economic activity, and unforgettable experiences,” says Rick Brooks, organizer and CEO of Ontario Festival Group.
Proceeds from the event will support Markham Stouffville Hospital and the Bill Crothers Secondary School Colts football program.
