Witnesses to ‘suspicious’ fire sought

York Regional Police are are now seeking witnesses to a “suspicious” fire at a Vaughan tattoo shop.

The blaze, at Addicted Tattoos & Piercing, appeared to have been extinguished by a sprinkler system when officers arrived on scene at about 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 14.  The business, located in a commercial unit at 200 Maycroft Ave., near Hwy. 7 and Pine Valley Drive, was empty at the time and no injuries were reported. Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who haven’t yet talked to police to contact them. They’re also looking for video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video on the roadways around the tattoo shop at the time of the fire.

The Ontario Fire Marshal is assisting with the investigation.
