Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking witnesses after a man was shot during a robbery in Richmond Hill.
On Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 11:26 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a residence on Church Street South (just east of Yonge Street) for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 35-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe that the victim was robbed of cash in front of the residence. During the robbery, one of the unknown suspects shot the victim.
Investigators are seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or anyone who may have dashcam footage in the area at the time.
