Wintesses sought following fatal collision

Police seek witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, shortly before 8 p.m., officers were called to the area of Weston Road
north of Steeles Avenue for a report of a collision. When officers arrived they found that three
vehicles had been involved and one of the vehicles, a silver Acura, had left the roadway striking a
building and was on fire. The driver of the silver Acura was identified as a 39-year-old man from
the City of Vaughan, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The other drivers who were involved were not injured and their vehicles received minor damage.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who
may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
