There are some great arts and culture options in Markham. The Varley Art Gallery and McKay Art Centre are two that most have likely already visited, but the Winged Canvas Gallery, that just launched an art show and sale on Jan. 5, is also worth the trip.
The show encapsulates the art hub’s vision of a community gathering space, connecting artists and art enthusiasts alike. Despite the frigid cold, art lovers continue to stop by and celebrate the local art scene. Featuring the work of local artists Fadwa Attyah, Rob Hyland, and Patricia Roncone, the show displays natural landscapes and their ability to evoke feelings of tranquillity and affirm the promise of new beginnings.
The January show wraps up on Jan. 28 with a no-HST closing sale.
The gallery is located at 185 Bullock Drive, Unit 1. Visit wingedcanvas.com for details.
