Ride 4 Styles honours fallen officer Constable Garrett Styles

Now in its seventh year, the Ride 4 Styles honours the memory of fallen officer Constable Garrett Styles.

On Sunday, June 4th join the York Regional Police Sunday family and friends as they honour him and other fallen heroes.

The ride will begin at the Community Safety Village at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area at 3291 Stouffville Road in Stouffville. There are two routes to choose from, a 45 km ride or a 70 km ride. Check in time is 7 a.m. and the actual ride begins at 8 a.m. Registration fee is $50 and includes a T-shirt, morning snacks and a wrap-up barbecue.

There’s also a one-kilometre ride for kids around the Community Safety Village; it’s $5 per child.

Food and drinks are provided along the route and there are prize draws for participants.

All cheques are payable to York Regional Police and tax receipts can be issued by email.

Last year’s ride raised more than $20,000 for York Region charities and welcomed 150 riders. Since the inception of the ride, the event has raised more than $80,000 for York Region charities.

Proceeds from this year’s ride will be donated to Victim Services of York Region, Jumpstart – Canadian Tire and the Aga Khan Foundation Canada. A donation will also be made to the Canadian Police Memorial Ride to Remember.
