Police name suspect in apparent abduction

Not long after releasing a disturbing surveillance video appearing to show a woman being abducted at gunpoint, York Regional Police have identified the suspect and located the 28-year-old victim, a Richmond Hill woman who is reportedly in good health.

At 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 23, the victim rang the doorbell at a home near High Tech Road and Silver Linden Drive. No one answered but video surveillance shows a male suspect, armed with what appears to be a handgun, exiting a vehicle parked out front on the roadway.
