On July 28, shortly before 3 p.m., York Regional Police was called to a residence on Castlemore Avenue in Markham for a report that multiple people had possibly been injured. When officers arrived they made contact with a man at the front door who was taken into custody. A further search of the residence found four people, all of whom were deceased.
Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged Menhaz Zaman, 23, of Markham, with the four deaths.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area to please come forward.
