Pedestrian seriously injured in hit and run

A 44-year-old Toronto man suffered life-threatening injuries in a Markham hit-and-run incident.

York Regional Police report the man was struck by a light-coloured SUV at about 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 16 while walking near Birchmount Road and Royal Crest Court. Anyone who has noticed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description with fresh, front-end damage consistent with striking a person is urged to contact police.
