On Jan. 31, Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) officially launched a new strategic plan for 2019 through 2022. Care Beyond Our Walls focuses on delivering care beyond the hospital.
“Connecting with our community ensures we will drive towards care for our patients that is beyond the physical walls of the hospital and compels us to seek out innovative ways to deliver that care,” says Jo-anne Marr, MSH president and CEO.
Over the next three years, MSH will focus its efforts on a number of specific objectives under three distinct areas: delivering an extraordinary patient experience, embracing the community and empowering hospital staff. An emphasis on those areas will challenge the hospital to ensure patients and their families receive care that is both seamless and integrated.
How will it work?
By proactively thinking, acting and innovating every day to provide patients with care that is connected to the community in which they live. That will make it easier for patients and families to navigate the healthcare system, improve connections with the hospital’s community partners and service providers.
