There will be ribs galore and more at the Markham Ribfest from July 8 to 10.
The weekend offers a variety of things that guests can enjoy.
“This year’s event is going to be bigger and bolder and way more than just ribs,” said coordinator Bill Hollingshead. “There will be something for every member of the family from 24 different food vendors to our midway to our old school beer tent and live stage.”
Live music by local bands with a Battle of the Bands competition takes place on Sunday, July 10, which will include live judges for early rounds and then attendees will vote a winner.
There is lots of fun planned for the younger attendees at the midway and rides.
Also in attendance will be Mayor Frank Scarpitti who said he has always been a fan of the event.
“Ribfest is a great opportunity, there are great ribs as well as great entertainment, I would like to invite everyone to come out and have a great time,” Scarpitti said.
Ribfest will start at 5pm on the Friday and ends Sunday at 7pm.
