Making lives better for 45 years

Participation House, Markham (PHM) has a long history of making life better for people with disabilities and, every day, they build on that 45-year history.

PHM executive director Frances DiCarlo hopes that many Markham residents will join her and her team and their clients for an enjoyable afternoon on August 20, as they celebrate their 45th Anniversary in the community. The afternoon will include a free BBQ from 12-3pm and tours of their facility at 9 Butternut Lane.

At seven different sites in York Region, PHM serves 120 men and women ranging in age from 20 to 86. Every one of their clients deserves the very best of life, and they help them live it.

A leader in enhancing the quality of life of individuals with disabilities through a continuum of services designed to reflect individualized approaches, community involvement and a respect for human dignity. This is possible through the PHM leadership and the many volunteers who give so generously of their time.
