Long-standing golf tourney raises $233,000 for community health

More than 160 golfers enjoyed a day on the greens at the 34th Annual Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) Foundation Golf Tournament. Live entertainment, dinner, prizes and auctions made for great day of fundraising.

Overall, the event raised $233,000 to ensure extraordinary patient care for generations to come.

During the evening, an extremely successful equipment appeal featured a powerful story by MSH neonatologist, Dr. Taslim Dawood and raised more than $70,000 to purchase two incubators and life-saving equipment to take care of the tiniest of patients. Longtime MSH donors, Jim Cochrane and David Milovanovic, split the purchase of the first machine, while a number of generous donors supported the purchase of the second.
