Markham-Unionville Ladies Golf Tournament has been supporting the Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) for the past 20 years and this year’s funds support the hospital’s breast health centre.
With 25,000 new breast cancer cases every year in Canada, it remains the most common cancer among Canadian women.
MSH had 3,330 visits to the breast health centre last year. We are fortunate enough to have some of the best wait times in Ontario from consult to treatment; MSH takes care of people in 22 days.
The funds raised from this tournament and many other local events allow MSH to continue to provide excellence service to area residents. It ensures that women get results and the treatment they need close to home, which is so important.
