Into the Light, by emerging artists instructed by Andrew Hamilton, continues until April 8 at the McKay Art Centre, 197 Main St., Unionville.
Hamilton is a Scottish-born artist transplanted to Canada and is inspired by the magnificent landscapes, especially the Northland. Andrew is a painter of light in all its forms from landscapes to still life. He was educated at OCAD in the interdisciplinary program majoring in drawing and painting. His work can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States and internationally. He teaches local artists at the Varley Art Gallery.
If you missed the April show, you will still have the opportunity to meet some of these artists in June during the plein air sketching and painting day which takes place in June on Unionville Main Street as part of their spring art session.
Call 905-477-7000 ext. 3261 for details on the plein air outing and for registration information for summer classes at the Varley.
