Learn how to become probationary firefighter

Have you got what it takes to fill a firefighter’s boots? Find out at an information session hosted by Markham Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) on Dec. 5.

Members of MFES senior management and human resources department will be on hand to discuss the hiring and training of probationary firefighters.

Attendees will also learn more about the Ontario Fire Administration – Candidate Testing Service’s pre-testing process, which is the certification required to apply for a probationary firefighter position in Markham.

The information session will be held at the Cornell Community Centre and Library Rehearsal Hall at 3201 Bur Oak Ave. from 6 to 9 p.m., with official presentations set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Parking is free and is available in the adjacent parking garage. Take your ticket to the information session, as instructions on how to validate it will be provided.
