Imagine an intimate café in Paris, French music softly creating an ambience, savoury treats plated to tease your taste buds, red or white beverages to top it off.
Now imagine that you can enjoy that without hopping on a plane to France. The Whitchurch-Stouffville 55+ Club is hosting a special café event for anyone who is 55 or older.
Members and non-members can mix and mingle to discover what the club has to offer. Mark your calendar for September 12th and get ready to enjoy great food, a fabulous environment and meet new friends and share stories and experiences at the 55+ Club at 6240 Main Street.
The event provides a perfect opportunity to meet existing and new friends, says Barb Armstrong, acting recreation supervisor of Leisure and Community Services for the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
“We are very excited to use this event to allow those in the community a chance to explore the many activities available at 6240 Main Street,” Armstrong said. “We want to roll out the welcome mat for those looking for a place to share experiences, explore their creative side, play snooker or other games, make new friends or simply chat and mingle in the lounge. 6240 Main is a place that all fit in and usually leave with a smile.”
Food is sponsored in part by Stouffville Creek Retirement Residence. This café event kicks off the fall season of activities and seatings are available at 10:30 a.m. and at noon. Tickets are $10 each.
For more information, call 905-640-9992 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also stop by 6240 Main Street to purchase tickets.
