The York Region Community Safety Village has been haunted in time for Halloween and trick or treaters are invited to attend.
The annual event, hosted by York Regional Police, features colouring stations and child-friendly haunted houses. Children and their parents or guardians are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for the event, which takes place Oct. 27 rain or shine.
Two time slots are available: 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Parking is available at the Community Safety Village at 3291 Stouffville Rd., Whitchurch-Stouffville. 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Parking is available at the Gormley GO Station at 1650 Stouffville Rd., Richmond Hill.
Accessible shuttle buses will be provided at each location. Registration is required in advance and can be completed at yrp.ca. A $10 donation to United Way per vehicle is required. No refunds on donations will be issued. You must print your receipt and take it with you to enter the event or to board the shuttle bus to the Safety Village. The last shuttle leaves Gormley GO at 4 p.m. for the Community Safety Village.
