Markham Museum has a full slate of events planned for Family Day. Called Winterfest, the event takes place on Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, free for those aged two and under.
Activities include snowshoeing, ice fishing, craft making and both outdoor and indoor games. Families can also watch the production of maple toffee and other old-time activities as well as take part in a number of group contests.
A local fire truck will be on hand to be explored and wagon rides will also be available. Everyone can also participate in the kid-friendly interactive exhibition called Geared for Growing which teaches about Markham’s agricultural legacy through the use of machinery and traditional farming tools.
Markham Museum is located at 9350 Markham Rd.
