On August 10, 11, and 12, enjoy delicious ribs at the Stouffville Country Ribfest, taking place in Stouffville’s Memorial Park.
The event, hosted by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, will include national grill-masters, food trucks, local brewers, the Marketplace, kids’ zone, and live music.
The featured national pit-masters this year will be Billy Bones BBQ, Texas Rangers, Uncle Sam’s BBQ Stand, Sticky Fingers BBQ & Company. Other food vendors will include BeaverTails, poutine, blooming onions, corn, pizza, and fresh lemonade.
Local craft brewers will include Uxbridge’s very own Second Wedge, Market Brewing from Newmarket, Mill Street Brewery, and Brickworks Cider.
One unique attraction at the Stouffville Country Ribfest is the Marketplace, which offers merchandise such as handmade beeswax candles, sauces, cool toys and clothing. Children can enjoy rides, jumping castles or ride the train that runs through the park at the Kids’ Zone.
This year, the headlining performer is Uxbridge-based country singer, Ben Hudson. Other live entertainment happening throughout each day will include country singers Matt Morson and Stacey Renee, Niagara-based cover band XPRIME, Canadian classic rockers Rollercoaster, new country rockers Southern Belle and the winners of Stouffville’s Got Talent.
“Stouffville Country Ribfest is all about creating a great time for the whole family,” Sarah Farrant, town events coordinator. “We strive to bring something for everyone to this festival whether it be great ribs, craft beer, shopping, live music, children’s rides and entertainment and more. We are looking forward to bringing this summer favourite back to Memorial Park.”
Admission is by donation and children are free. All donations will go to community events and the Join in Recreation Subsidy Fund. The hours are noon to 11 p.m. on Aug. 10, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Aug. 11, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 12.
