A Markham man has been charged following a serious collision last summer that left a 49-year-old motorcyclist with life-altering injuries.
York Regional Police responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a Honda S2000 on Markham Road, south of Hwy. 407 at about noon on July 28.
The driver of the Honda was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Following a months-long investigation that included reconstructing the accident scene, Hassan Mir, 22, turned himself into police as requested on Jan. 25. He was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, has been released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at Newmarket on Feb. 28.
