Canada’s Wonderland opens with two new attractions

Canada’s Wonderland recently opened its gates for a new season with a new ride, Lumberjack, interactive family ride Flying Canoes, an extensive entertainment lineup of live shows, food festivals, a month-long Celebration Canada event and more.

Lumberjack is sure to please rollercoaster enthusiasts. With feet dangling, guests will soar 360 degrees in the air on two giant swinging ‘axe’ pendulums. With inversions reaching up to 75 feet (22m) high, Lumberjack will give riders the sensation of an inverted coaster loop.

Flying Canoes is an interactive family ride that allows guests to step into a two-person ‘magical’ canoe and control their journey of flight through the air.

The 2018 season also brings non-stop, exciting entertainment, live shows and a diverse lineup of events, offering something for everyone.

Celebration Canada is one of the main highlights. A month-long birthday celebration starts June 30 and features a spectacular fireworks display on July 1 along with West Coast Lumberjacks, Cirque Canadien, the Craz-E-Crew Stunt Team, live music, authentic Canadian food, street performers and more.

This summer, family favourite KidZfest returns and is bigger than ever featuring street performers, the ultimate Foam Pit, special appearances by the Marvel superheroes, performances by Paw Patrol, Shimmer and Shine, DooDoo the International Clown and more.

Internationally-renowned acts provide great family-fun entertainment, including Woofjocks, the Ultimate Thrills Circus, Chinese Acrobats and the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team.

“At Canada’s Wonderland, we strive to provide season-long entertainment for our guests through a variety of experiences,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager. “Between our exciting new rides, Splash Works and our full calendar of special events and live shows, there’s something for everyone, every day of the season.”

For unlimited access to the park, Splash Works, live shows and events, season passes are now available online for as low as $71.99. Prices go up May 21. For more ticket information or to see the full event and entertainment schedule, visit
