Bag Half Full provides grocery shopping assistance to those in need

An ambitious group of students (Saakethiya Sriranjan, Shania Bhopa, Jhanahan Sriranjan) joined forces with The Bag Half Full initiative to offer free grocery pickup and delivery to the elderly or immunocompriseed population within Markham and Stouffville.

The Bag Half Full initiative was originally founded in Edmonton by a group of students working to contribute positively to their communities.

The local group has launched this program to promote community health, safety, and accessibility amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those in need can either have a volunteer pick up their pre-ordered groceries or can submit a list of items to be shopped for and delivered.

If you are interested in utilizing this service, you can place an order on their website: https://www.baghalffull.com
