The important work of local innovators and entrepreneurs isn’t going unnoticed.
The City of Markham recently held its annual Made in Markham Awards – formerly known as the Young Entrepreneurs Award – to celebrate and recognize the achievements of talented innovators and entrepreneurs.
These awards recognized future innovators who attended Entrepreneur Summer Camp, Business Plan Competition winners, students who have successfully completed the Ontario Summer Company Program, and Starter Company Plus Entrepreneurs.
Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti was on hand at the event to congratulate all of the winners and to thank the Judging Panel and Community Mentoring Groups for their support in helping Markham’s future innovators and entrepreneurs.
Jointly funded by the City of Markham and the Government of Ontario, Markham Small Business Centre (MSBC) provides aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small businesses with high-quality one-on-one management consulting, educational training, and the business resources needed to sustain their growth in today’s competitive marketplace.
This event champions the social and economic impact that the MSBC has in our community, particularly in providing entrepreneurs with the essential resources required to start their own business.
