Two suspects are wanted in the armed robbery of a Markham bank that had just closed its doors for the day. They gained access when an employee opened the locked doors to let a customer out.
The men entered the bank pointing firearms at employees and demanding cash. One of the suspects went behind the counter and obtained cash from the teller.
Police were called to the bank, located in the area of Woodbine Avenue north of Steeles Avenue, for robbery report shortly after 7 p.m. on Feb. 21. They say the suspects fled when a customer entered the front area of the bank to use the ATM.
The suspects were both wearing balaclavas, black hoodies, black track pants and black gloves. One suspect was seen carrying a blue duffle bag.
