Athletics Canada nominates 46 athletes to Canada’s 2018 Commonwealth Games team

Markham athlete Andre De Grasse is among the group of 46 recently announced by Athletics Canada to compete in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, taking place in Gold Coast, Australia, from April 4-15. Protecting water before it reaches your tap

From working with farmers to create risk management plans and reviewing new development applications, York Region is sharing the steps it’s taking to protect municipal drinking water. In the 2017 Source Water Protection Implementation Annual Report, the region highlights the work it’s doing to identify and manage potential threats to drinking water and ensure proposed developments in vulnerable areas undertake careful planning to ensure the safety of its drinking water supply. There wasn’t much experience to rely on for the Markham Marauders. By the end of the season, though, everyone was playing like a veteran.
