Markham Royals wraps up 2016 playing strong

The Markham Royals not only started strong in the 2016-2017 season, they’ll end the year just as strong. That was the sentiment from general manager and head coach Mike Galati, noting that the team has to maintain the same momentum to win the season. “We’ve won a lot of games this year and we have a lot of games ahead of us we need of course to win; I have no doubt these guys will rise to the occasion,” said Galati. Among them is the new skating rink in Downtown Markham, unveiled in early December, beside the Pride of Canada Carousel at 8080 Birchmount Rd. Paramount Fine Foods raises money to support the Markham Stouffville Hospital

Paramount Fine Foods, the fastest growing Middle Eastern Restaurant in North America, continues its rapid expansion into Markham. Opening its doors last month, they have partnered with the Markham Stouffville Hospital and have raised $3000 to date for the hospital! This partnership will provide the hospital with the funding needed to support the communities’ overall health. 50 per cent of proceeds from every sweet purchased in November has been donated directly to the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
