York Region District School Board is pleased to share the top scholars for 2016.

York Region students consistently perform above average in provincial testing and the Board is one of the top achievers in Ontario.

Bayview Secondary School topped the list with the following three students earning a 100 per cent average. Guan (J.J.) Wang, Monika Xu (pictured) and Edward Li made their school extremely proud.

Xu is Co-chair of the Markham Mayor’s Youth Council and will be attending the University of Waterloo starting in September.

Li currently works as a teaching assistant for Kumon and heads to McMaster University in the fall.
