On June 18, the third annual Krown Wash for a Wish Car Wash raised a grand total of $60,000 this year for The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. All funds raised have been donated to local chapters of Children’s Wish.

Held at participating Krown Rust Control locations across the country, Canadians received a hand car wash for $10. In addition to funds raised at the event, customers could donate online for a waterless wash if they were unable to attend, but still looking to lend their support.

“This year’s Wash for A Wish was our most successful event yet,” says Freeman Young, President of Krown Rust Control. “We had the privilege to witness communities across Canada come together to support Children’s Wish.    Our wonderful team of Krown employees and volunteers that contributed to this success are already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Children’s Wish is a uniquely Canadian charity that helps Canadian children, families and communities by granting the favourite wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. With every wish they grant, they create moments of joy that ease the pain of a child, give respite to the child’s family, and connect healthcare professionals and communities.

“We are extremely grateful for the ground swell of support from the Krown employees and volunteers.  It is only through the generosity of caring companies like Krown Rust Control that we can continue to grant wishes and provide hope and healing to Canadian families dealing with life threatening illnesses.” Chris Kotsopoulos, CEO, The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
