What better way to kick off the Fall season than with a heat wave and local outdoor festival to match? Markham’s 33rd annual Applefest was the answer for anyone who didn’t fancy taking a long drive in the sweltering heat this past weekend.
For those who did stay close to home, the city offered an array of activities, events, live entertainment and great food at the festival on the historic grounds of Markham Museum. Whether you went on a little train ride, munched on fresh apple fritters or checked out a Blacksmith demonstration, they were over 30 activities for everyone to enjoy.
These also included demonstrations at the Cider Mill, several exhibitions, new rides and games, the accessibility pavilion, specialty food trucks and family-fun activities.
