This fall, the Markhaven Foundation is presenting its premier fundraising event, the ‘Colours of Autumn Luncheon & Fashion Show’. All proceeds benefit Markhaven Home for Seniors, a vital local non-profit long-term care facility.

“This inaugural Markhaven event will focus exclusively on raising funds to help provide an enriching environment for our residents,” said Markhaven Foundation director Laurie McClelland. Proceeds will help upgrade the Alzheimer’s Unit, revitalize resident sunrooms and purchase new hi/lo beds that provide greater safety and ease of use.

Affectionately called the “little home with big heart,” Markhaven has been providing care for seniors and those requiring long-term assistance since 1960.

‘Colours of Autumn’ will feature lunch, prizes, a silent auction, and boutiques along with fashions by Eleven Joseph, Jillian’s, Mariya Coats and Peppertree Klassics. Tickets are $60 each.

The event takes place at Crystal Fountain Event Venue on Oct. 18. The boutiques open at 10:30am and lunch is at 12:30pm.
