This past weekend, Fight Fitness Markham hosted The Potluck of Meaning fundraiser for 360°kids to help support at-risk youth in York Region. The event connected people over meaningful dishes and the stories of our communities for a great cause, raising $1000.

Joshua Wang, Fight Fitness Coach, wanted to help out in any way that he could, pointing out that a $50 donation would provide 10 meals to youth, and a $100 donation would allow 1 hour of counselling to a youth in crisis.

“When I heard about homelessness in York Region, I was stunned … and felt helpless. Then I heard about 360°kids. So I decided to help with what I knew best: food & fitness. The idea of this potluck is to share a meaningful dish, and gather with friends to raise funds and awareness for a great cause. I’m grateful to friends, family and local businesses, who joined us in the fight against youth homelessness and human trafficking in York Region,” says Wang.

Sponsors of the event included Fight Fitness, Myodetox, Saje Wellness, Moksha Yoga Markham, Float Valley, and ASAP Physio Inc.
