Minister Philpott Encourages Local Students to Give Back

Feb. 28 – Jane Philpott, MP Markham-Stouffville and Minister of Health gave a call-to-action to students in the ME to WE Leadership Program at Markham District High School. Minister Philpott kicked off the two-way dialogue with the students by stating that politics and medicine foster the similar goals of making people want to feel healthy. She added that the social issues affecting people are what makes them healthy. Markham-Stouffville Crisis Pregnancy Center thrives on community support

February 25 – If it weren’t for community support, the Markham-Stouffville Crisis Pregnancy Centre (MSCPC) would not be standing today – or able to help those who need it most. 2016 was a groundbreaking year for the non-profit organization who saw their clientele double, their debt disappear, their storage space quadruple, and the face of their organization change.
